Local Coffee House and Lounge situated in downtown Covington offers a rock musical theme where everyone is welcomed. With live music, amazing coffee, and friendly workers, I instantly felt home in this coffee shop even though it was my first time. They were eager to make me a coffee that I would enjoy, took me to the room where they store their grounds, and gave me the run down of all of their beans! They buy their beans from Awake coffee which offers flavored beans such as Irish Creme and vanilla as well as regular beans from all over the world. One of their baristas, was extremely helpful in explaining the different roasts, the different types of beans, and helped me pick grounds according to my liking (I bought Kenya Fancy Mark beans). He even encouraged me to buy a french press which I can now say was worth the purchase! Local Coffee House and Lounge offers flavors such as gingerbread, Creme de Banana, Cinnamon, and Bourbon caramel (I tried this and the bourbon gave it more of a punch!). They also boast a long list of refreshers (the menu is below), tea, kombucha, and snack items such as muffins, cookies, cake, oatmeal, and chips. Overall, I love this coffee shop. Not only was the coffee exactly how I like it, but environment and the people behind the counter made the experience even more enjoyable. Their website is below!!
