Hidden away on Key Lime Square, Cuban Coffee Queen is a diamond found within the heart of Key West. With a walk up counter and colorful outdoor seating, Cuban Coffee Queen is the perfect place to stop and fuel while walking around Southard and Duval. Their coffee menu boasts traditional Cuban drinks such as Cafe con leche, cortadito, Bucci (4 shots of Cuban espresso to share with friends), and Iced Cuban Coffee! I sampled the Iced Cuban Caramel Coffee with oat milk and it was the perfect blend of sweet, strong, and smooth just like the Iced Cuban Vanilla! Another drink on the menu is the Turmeric Con Leche which consists of ​turmeric, cardamom, ginger, vanilla, honey, and almond milk. Cuban coffee tends to be known for the strength and sweetness of the roast due to the demerara sugar that is added before it is brewed. They also offer a variety smoothies such as the Strawberry Twirl, Pina, Mango Mix, Re-Hydrator, Raztastic, Berrylicious, and Hang-Over Helper. To add on to the Cuban traditions, Cuban Coffee Queen takes pride in their impressive steak, Mojo Pork, and Mojo chicken sandwiches. They offer a breakfast burrito, Sunrise Special, Pan Cubano, the Key Wester (two eggs with American cheese and your choice of meat on Cuban bread), and the Main lander (three eggs with American cheese and your choice of meat on a Amoroso hoagie roll). If you really want to get into the Key West spirit, they even offer key lime pie on a stick. While enjoying our coffee, we were greeted by chickens, roosters, and locals.
