The Funky Rooster Coffee House and Wine Bar is a breath of fresh air in the outskirts of Key West, away from the busyness of travelers and tourists shops. Funky Rooster was one of the cutest coffee shops I have ever been to. With rooster paintings, figurines, and cute apparel located at every corner, it is easy to nest in their shop. They have plenty of seating and couches behind every nook and cranny. While the environment is bright and happy, their menu is even more impressive. They offer chai lattes, café con leche, tropical iced tea, and specialty smoothies including the funky rooster (coconut milk, pineapple, mint, ginger, honey, and lemon), strawberry banana, mixed berry, and tropical. For those looking for an easy snack or meal, the Funky Rooster offers a smoked salmon bagel, fish dip bagel, and a pesto bagel as well we quiche, croissants, muffins, yogurt, and a slice of key lime pie. Their beans are their very own organic beans that are a light to medium roast with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla bean, and anise (licorice flavor). I tried their sugar free vanilla iced coffee with oat milk and it was perfect. With the perfect blend of smooth and strong, I did not have coffee in my cup for very long. It was such a cute and locally owned shop that offered amazing coffee, a cheerful atmosphere, and cute knickknacks to take home. Their website is below!!
