Morning Grind

House in the old hotdog stand on the corner of town, Morning Grind has been the new local coffee hub for students and members of the Milledgeville community! With the option to walk through the drive-thru or sit inside, you can fuel your morning in which ever way is most convenient for you! Morning Grind opened its doors on October 20th of this year, giving me plenty of time to try multiple items on its menu! This shop gets its beans from Fuel Coffee in Alpharetta, GA, and sells them in the shop for you to take home! I bought a bag of "Daily Grind '' to use in the mornings and I loved it! With so many options on their menu, I took my time to try a little bit of everything. From their drink menu, I have tasted their pumpkin spice latte, a hazelnut latte, gingerbread latte, vanilla, and lavender latte, and my personal favorite has been the Honey Nut latte (their December specialty drink). They have a host of flavors to try and find the perfect combination for you! They also have chai tea, smoothies, and local favorites such as the Milledgeville Mocha and Sunshine Surge. One thing I have noticed and loved about Morning Grind's coffee is its strength and flavor! Their coffee is a bit stronger than most coffee shops, providing that rich coffee taste that helps make the drinks not too sweet! Their roast is strong, and rich making the perfect combination of sweet and smooth that I love! From their food menu, I have tried the egg pesto breakfast sandwich and their toasted Italian sandwich! Both were absolutely delicious! Morning Grind also has bagels, avocado toast, a BLT, chicken salad (which my roommate Becca LOVED), and a charcuterie board. For those with a sweet tooth, Morning Grind has fresh pastries such as muffins, donuts, brownies, and cinnamon rolls! One thing I love about Morning Grind is the personalities behind the counter. I know most of the baristas and am always greeted with the largest smiles and my coffee is always made just the way I like it! Their owner, Bridgette, is also the sweetest person and greets me with such kindness every time I walk into the door. As soon as I heard of this coffee shop, I was the first in line on opening day and have been coming back regularly! Their Facebook is linked below!
